About Chad Doggett

As a native to Raleigh, I have certainly seen my hometown grow in my lifetime. I grew up in what is now referred to as "Midtown" near North Hills until my family moved to North Ridge in North Raleigh when I was in my early teens. I attended Millbrook High School and graduated from Ravenscroft School. With the exception of spending my college years just over the border studying Managerial Economics at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, I have lived my entire life here in Raleigh. I attained my Real Estate license at the age of 21 between my Junior and Senior years of college and joined Long & Foster to begin my only career shortly after graduating in 2002.

I grew up in the Real Estate industry. My father owned Doggett Architects and Doggett Properties here in Raleigh where he designed homes, townhome and condo complexes, office buildings, churches, and numerous schools across the state of North Carolina from the mountains to the Outer Banks. My mother has been in the Real Estate business since the mid 80's, spending her entire career with Long & Foster. I joke with clients that I have been showing property for 40+ years because there were many afternoons where I tagged along with mom on a showing or two. She has been in management with different offices within the company for a number of years now assisting agents with starting and successfully developing their careers. Needless to say she has done the same for me, directly or indirectly. We live the business and even our family dinners migrate to business dinners whether we mean for them to or not.
